I needed something on a tight budget and almost settled for the lumia 720 (not saying this is better), was about to place my order when I stumbled on this phone. The battery life is better than decent, the screen is crisp with vivid colors and the whole OS experience is not that bad(considering I switched from a blackberry). What really got my attention was the fact that with ubiboot you can have 3-4 OS's on the device. I have always been a touchscreen person so wasn't really a problem adapting. Damn shame nokia didn't put more effort into developing meego for the N9/950 could have competed with the very best. Still running stock Meego and very pleased. the apps you need are mostly available, don't see why I need 500million apps when I used all but 12-24

If you want a smartphone like no other this is it, even though it uses meego which is not in continuation anymore in the tech market, this phone still beats alot of other phones on the market hands down. The sleek look looks like something out of a 007 film very thin and sleek but still thick enough to hold with one hand. You really don't need a digital camera with the camera on this cell phone 8MP is awesome on this phone the pictures are like a professional has taken them for all the ameuter picture takers out there.

Just keep in mind it is likely (and sadly) the first and last MeeGo device, doesn't support 4G, and is not officially supported in the States.

I changed my GS3 to this phone and this is absolutely best phone in the market right now. Build quality is amazing and also Symbian is working quite nicely in this one. Galaxy had bigger screen but build quality was next to nothing, 808 beats SG3 easily in build quality and I think that also the screen is better, at least it is more readable when you are using it outside. Camera is amazing, picture quality is better than in my Lumix LX3. I don't need digital camera any more, this phone is more than enought.

Just got my 808 three days ago..and recieved FP2 (latest update) update two days later. This phone is stunning. UI is very smooth. Very well built. This is an excellent handset...it's hard to believe Nokia is not developing Nokia/Symbian much more. I've used Android and Apple and they both are very good OSes with thier strengths and weaknesses, but this phone is it. I also been seriously considered the Lumia 920, but this one takes them all. Very powerful, smooth, and flexible. Name it, this phone can do it. Only minus is apps avaiability and the intergrated Facebook Client is weak. It excells in connectivity and media performance. I"m sure down the road I'll be using a Nokia/WP device....when I wear our my 808 Pureview. May get another one for then!

i have never been so satisfied with any nokia phones and i had several before i bought this one. 4 years i have it and i am still using it. it has great camera that shoots nice photos, touch screen is flawless, i don't even calibrate it. it is durable (dropped it several times no scratch).
i have seen people install windows xp on this device somehow, not mentioning meego. but this matters if you like to tease your phone a bit.
for past year there has been no software update though.
still this piece of machinery is great. don't forget to buy screen protectors.

From the moment I opened the box I was pretty impressed. I wanted something different from what everyone else has and At&t only has the same tired stuff. From the 8 GB memory card (for lots of music & games), all the cool attachments (earbuds w/ a tiny remote, tv a/v cable, etc...), GPS, and a bunch of cool apps already set up in the phone. I was sold. Granted, I was just a little bit disappointed with the 3.2 MP camera (but who cares! Thats what digital cameras are for). I've never had the i-phone but I work w/ someone who has one and she can't make video calls with hers(hee-hee)!! In conclusion, I really think its a great phone from a reputable company.

I thought it was a reasonable price for a Nokia touch screen phone with WiFi, 3G, GPS, etc. and costs lot less than Iphone too, so I ordered it. But it starts having a problem less than two weeks since I use it. It froze on me everytime when I go online, go to menu, go to apps(I have downloaded some apps), and before I decided to return it, both the dialer pad and contact list pad don't work at all no matters how many times I press it. It SUCKS the big time!!!I strongly do not recommend this phone at all!! If you want a touch screen phone, get an Iphone or Droid.

Only "gripe," and it isn't such a huge one, if I take sim card out for any reason, contacts are gone when I reinsert sim in phone. Contacts remain on sim, but don't show back up on phone. Probably an operator problem, but I found that a bit annoying. It has great reception and sound. Otherwise, it is a great phone and I would recommend it to anyone looking for "Blackberry" equivalent. I actually have a Blackberry Curve (older version) and I like the Nokia much better.

And it is also very energy-effective. Usually it is charged every 3 days for me. The only con I found until now is its CPU is too slow, many animation effects of even built-in programs lag and drop frames. But who cares that for a under $200 phone with WiFi, 3G, GPS and free navigation?

This phone is gorgeous. It is my first smartphone and looks much better than my friend's blackberry. I got it because my sister got one in white and I really liked it so i got one in black. I got it because It does not require a data plan. My T-Mobile contract expired and all smart phones require a $30 data plan so i opted for this phone instead. You can connect to any wifi network and download a lot of free apps and games. You also get free GPS that works pretty good. I like the qwerty keyboard. I love this phone. My very slightly out of warranty iPhone went kaput and replacing it while still under ATT contract would have cost me a fortune. The Nokia Lumia 920 is nicer than the iPhone, in my opinion. All the apps I would ever need are included or free at the store. The display is nicer than the iPhone display. Collecting my contacts and storing them in the new phone was painless. The wireless charging with the optional wireless charger is sweet! I come home after work and set my phone on the pad. In less than 30 minutes my phone is fully recharged. The price is right. There is a lot of bang for the buck with this phone.

There are some complaints about the weight & size, not here - fits my shirt, jacket & pants pocket just fine & the size makes it easier to retrieve from pockets & type on. The weight is hardly noticeable.

The candy-bar phone isn't too big or thick and fits well in your denim's pockets. There is just one minor thing which we don't quite like - the keypad. Its a single sheet of metal and its kinda difficult to press. We really need to press very hard in order to punch the numbers/letters. Other than that, a great device.

I purchased this phone from Bell, in Canada, 2 years ago, as a pay as you go phone. I've since let the coverage expire, but here in the US I use the phone as a radio and mp3 player, it has truly great sound for a tiny device! You can listen to it for over 10 hours as a radio, which pleases me to no end, there aren't and weren't ever many portable radios with that capacity. It may also play that long as an mp3 player. And even though I seldom play games, I've played the ones on this phone. It also has a good series of alarms. It works great as a phone. The photos and video are OK, I'd say the video recorder is better than the camera. But for the sound quality and if you like listening to music without annoying, painful, un-natural, and hearing destructive headphones or earbuds, it's hard to beat this device. It took the smarties at Apple a while to realize an external speaker is a good idea, Nokia knew that right away. This is a superb device in all aspects and gives you everything you need, short of being a smart phone.

I own this same phone for over a year now, can say i have any issues with it. still works great even after i have drop it a dozen times. Also its very fast enough to check my mail, use it as a music player. best part battery last very long even up to know, i get around 3 to 5 days battery life. like that i can just quickly pull phone out of my pocket press space bar and bam the flash light is on. takes great pictures at night for a camera phone not made to take professional pictures lol and not far at night either.

I did have to get my SIM card cut because this phone takes a micro SIM card and my previous phone had a Macro SIM card. My husband used this phone for a little a year. It started having problems overheating and shutting off. It eventually caught fire while in his hand (grateful it wasn't in his pocket!!) It wasn't the battery, but something behind the camera that caught fire as the camera area is now badly burned and the phone will not work. Bad thing is, he is out of the warranty period now. He liked it ok before it caught fire. If yours starts overheating, discontinue use before something bad happens!

Once I got use to where things are with this phone it has been easy to use. I used the manual minimally with this phone. I just started exploring and drilling down each icon to see where things are at. Fantastic battery life. But this phone has a large battery so that may be why. I debated getting the E72 or this one. Reading all the comments for each phone I decided on the E71 and I don't regret my decision at all. It would be great if Nokia would combine the functionality of this phone with a touch screen.

Great little phone.I bought it because I wanted to access email/internet with WIFI and not pay for the blackberry data plan. I have the minimum data plan (20 mg/month) and that is enough for my use outside of "free" hot spot zones (primarily home and office..but if you get this phone you will be amazed at the places that are available for WIFI use and not locked down either intentionally or just through negligence) .Just to pass along I recently downloaded opera mini for this phone and you absolutely cannot believe the difference in browsing speeds regardless of WIFI or EDGE data source. It works perfectly and best of all its FREE.Also Google maps offers full GPS support with trip planning,routes and map guidance for FREE as well (except for your paid network data stream of course)..Can't beat that !!

I think this is a great phone. The size and weight are ideal. The qwerty keyboard is the best i have ever used. However, there are two areas for improvement. The feedback from the touchscreen is not great and the operating system is somewhat slow to respond at times. Also, the internet browsing capability is not as good as some other phones. If you want to do simple phone functions and have good media capability and battery life it is a great buy. If you want a proper smart phone to surf the web and send e-mails perhaps the iphone 3GS or BB Bold 9700 is better suited.

Build so solid, metal case, color, feels good. Does everything i need (SMS, Internet Radio, e-mails). And cameras - both of them just so nice! I forgot about my regular camera and use only this one. Put 8GB SD card - and no problem. Only one thing - there is no way to install Russian typing language. So, now I got android phone, but dont want to sell this one - i think i will keep it as a spare (what a shame).

I've had this phone for at least a year. It's my first "smart" phone. I got it because I can use it without having a contract to a Cell carrier. I buy Pay As I GO phone cards and because I don't use the phone for talking much, I save ALOT of money over a year's time. I pay $100 a year for a phone card. This phone does so much! I can text, take pictures, it has notes, calendar, alarm clock, can kindof surf the internet (for free by connecting to free wifi), record sound, play MP3s and the radio and much more. It synchs with my Outlook and the computer so I have all my information in both places. My only downside is the interface is not real intuitive and it can take several selections to get to something that should be easier to get to. Also, the documentation for using the phone and the on line features are tricky to understand. Lastly, I wish there was more of a selection of "apps" for the phone. It seems very limited. But overall, it does everything I ever wanted.

It survived several falls before that with ease, has a great camera and has both great touchscreen technology and buttons to push. The nice perk is that I can operate the touchscreen with my gloves on. I also like that I'm not locked into a data plan like with smartphones.

Just received the phone i ordered at first look i really like it. It's very slim and perfect for my mom's tiny hands. However i was disappointed because they sent a damaged phone! Only keypad 4578 are working, the rest don't. Good thing it was fullfilled by amazon I was able to call the customer service right away and they helped in the returns.

I recently bought the NOKIA E6 and have to say that its all I wanted from a combination touchscreen and qwerty. The Symbian Anna OS is very responsive and precise, the browser is superb and easy to input URL address, save bookmarks and scroll between open pages. It supports one exchange account and multiple gmail and other services emails, push email is easily enabled in the settings for both exchange and gmail accounts. The keyboard is superb, better than E71, as the buttons are somewhat wider and tactile perception is superb. 8 MP camera pics are great and easy to share to with social networks and by email. Overall I am highly satisfied with this touchscreen qwerty combo in the E71 form.

sure it's not as great in it's time as the e71 or e72. but it's the best smartphone with keyboard out there that doesn't require a blackberry data plan. if only it could get a little love from the folks at audible and pandora, and bring back browser keyboard shortcuts, it'd be almost perfect for everything I need it for. can't wait for the belle update

Bought this Used/Reconditioned. This looked like a good deal. WRONG! The problem is that the product was defective from the start. I did not realize that I was suppose to have some functionality while in the middle of a call, until the phone decided to show me that functionality. It functioned correctly with call-options, such as mute and record, on three occasions. During the malfunctioning state (most of the time), during a call the screen goes black, hiding all the options that it suppose to show. If you check the Nokia site you will find this is a problem (probably related to the proximity sensor).

This phone looks pretty cool, but it's not as amazing as you would think. If you're used to more popular smart phones, this touch screen is really hard to deal with. You have to press the screen to get it to recognize anything. It also vibrates on every button you press, and you can't turn it off. The OS does seem to have some good functionality, but actually using the phone is too hard to make the OS worth it at all. Not worth the money.

This Nokia C5-03 has a very small screen comparing to US made touch screen cellpohone. May be I have used to look at the bigger screen from HTC, Samsung, LG, IPhone. I have older OS on this phone, and there is noway for this OS comparable to the advantage of Apple IOS or Android. OVI online game/apss selections are poor. I like the Offline Map, you can download offline and use it. Sound, Color is good.

This good buy at this price around $160 and phone is unlocked. it has all the default features, and touch screen is good size and works fine. Im not using maps, looks like we have to use nokia maps. Audio jack is 3.5 inch I think,when using supplied headset, I hear others voice like in stereo like full frequency spectrum..not like the phone voice..I dont know if there is any setting to fix it, but i coudnt find it. Overall Im satisfied with this phone as basic phone. I wish nokia has good headsets for this phone.

I bought this phone because I had held and played with it in Germany. Prior I had no idea what the big deal of a Nokia phone was. The hardware far exceeds any othe phone maker. The curved glass rises over the bezel which makes a seamless swipe. The operating system is flawless and a joy to use. I get over a day of battery life and use Nokia's nav for turn by turn directions. The phone also works on AT&T flawlessly. The only problem I have is where do I go from here.

I have had this phone for 5 days now and am thrilled. I ordered it from AT&T though. It is a beautiful phone with all the features that I need. The phone is fast and elegant. I have heard people complain about lack of apps for Windows 8, but I did not find that to be true. It has all the necessary apps that I can use. Nokia has produced a beautiful equipment.The camera is amazing, call quality great and the wireless connection to internet is fast. GPS is great. It even warns when you exceed speed limit.Nokia maps is very good.The screen quality is outstanding and very responsive.
Number of voice commands need to increase though. Hopefully by next update, it will have voice commands to set alarms, appointments etc. I could not find a way to 'Cut and Paste' ( It has 'Copy and Paste').

I just bought one a week ago. The main motivation was the camera. I do have already an excellent digital camera, but it's something I don't always carry with me. I hope to get more pictures of ordinary life, not just holidays. The camera appeared to be quite decent, and fits well for the purpose. However I miss optical zoom a bit. As a whole the phone is better than I expected, especially after all the bad reviews I have read. The UI is not as responsive as in iPod (iPhone I do not have) but I manage well with it.

I really like the camera features they packed into the N8. Instead of repeating them, I think you can read the specs for yourself. I found the pictures the N8 takes very high quality - almost at Digital Still Camera quality. The Xenon flash is also a very good addition for low light photography.

Nokia more than did this one right but since I am not a very technical person, this is just a basic review. I've had the phone for about 3 weeks now and am loving it. I have to agree with many in that one of the best selling points of this phone besides the great physical build and the killer 12 megapixel camera (which takes astounding pictures)is that it is unlocked. I switched from the 5800 Xpress Music and there is definitely a big difference but being that it is still a symbian system I haven't ran into anything that was too hard for me to figure out by myself, music sounds great and call quality is great as well. I added a 16gb memory card on top of what the phone comes with (16gb) so I'm more than happy with enough memory for whatever comes my way. If you are a simple person looking for a great phone with features galore(unlocked, fm transmitter, bluetooth 3.0,Dolby surround sound, tethering, USB port...) and it gives you the freedom to do things that operator branded phones don't then you'll love this phone. I know I do! (This is an edit of a previous review)

I wanted a light-weight phone with a FM radio. This Nokia has good reception w/ T-mobile, and the volume is good. The best feature is the FM radio. The antenna provided by Nokia is weak, so I recommend using an alternate - any 2.5mm headset will work fine. Just for comparison, I spent $300 on my previous phone, a light-weight Samsung phone w/ FM radio. I was disappointed with the Samsung - the phone itself was fine, but it used proprietary adaptors limiting my headset options. I bought 3 Samsung headsets, and all produced too much static for the FM radio to be useful.

I purchased this phone because I needed a solid battery life and talking phone for college. I also purchased this phone because it works with the Nokia PC Suite software, which allows me to control the phone from my computer for tasks such as writing SMS messages and managing my contacts. This phone has bluetooth which works wonderfully. I've tested the range of the bluetooth to be about 17 feet. It is very reliable and I have not had any disconnect issues with the bluetooth. The camera on this phone is quite basic, but it works if you are willing to wait for it to load. I was shocked how wonderful the phone was when I opened the box. You get a pair of headphones and a charger with the phone when you purchase it.
